| Description | | Low Profile. Supports four ATA channels and up to 8 hard disks. Optimized XOR technique and advanced cache algorithm powered by HPT601. Supports up to ATA 133 hard disks. Supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 and JBOD. MODEL: RRAID464 VENDOR: HPT USA/HIGHPOINT TECH FEATURES: RocketRAID 464 Four-channel ATA RAID 5 Host Adapter The RR464 is a 4-channel ATA host adapter that provides multi level RAID support including RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, and JBOD. The RR464 utilizes an optimized XOR engine, which provides a significant performance enhancement for RAID implementations. The RocketRAID 464 is a low profile host adapter, and is ideal for use with Rackmount server chassis. The RocketRAID 464 can support multiple RAID arrays, and the 4 independent ATA133 channels provide parallel disk/array access. Due to the RocketRAID 464s RAID capabilities, data storage and retrieval is dramatically faster than single disk configurations. Additional security features are provided for RAID 1, 5 and 10 arrays, such as hot-spare options for automatic array-rebuilds, hot-swap support for swapping failed disks on the fly (works with Hot-Swap capable mobile racks such as Rocket Mate), and disk failure notification (audible alarms, visual warning messages). These features provide a high level of security and data protection against hard disk failure. The RocketRAID 464 has 4 independent ATA channels, and supports up to 8 IDE hard disk drives. The RocketRAID 464 imposes no restrictions on hard disk capacity, and will meet the requirements of most all business and personal applications. In addition to the BIOS configuration utility, the RocketRAID 464 includes operating system based RAID configuration software. The software can be used to control remote systems, and multiple HighPoint host adapters/controllers, over a network. As a high-performance, affordable RAID solution, the RocketRAID 464 makes sense for nearly any corporate, retail, industrial, home, and small office environment | |
